Progress on Our Newest Dream: the Orphanage

We succeeded in paying for the land in 2009. The land, located at the edge of Olasiti village, is productive farmland, with a high water table, near a road.  So far, Zenan and the children have planted a thorn fence, banana trees, and vegetables.  In addition, local volunteers started building a storage and workshop to support the orphanage.

Recently the Dorobo Fund received a large gift from the estate of a generous donor, allowing us to begin construction. The new, spacious orphanage will have  clean well water, solar electricity, and rooms for cooking, eating, sleeping, and studying.

We will post pictures of ongoing construction. Come back soon!
